Daytime Prayer
Sunday, May 17, 2026 • 7th Sunday of Easter
Opening
O God, come to my assistance.
Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Hymn
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia! Hearts to heaven and voices raise;
sing to God a hymn of gladness, sing to God a hymn of praise.
sing to God a hymn of gladness, sing to God a hymn of praise.
Psalmody
Psalm 23The Lord Is My Shepherd
Ant. This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. Alleluia.
The Lord governs me, and nothing will be lacking for me; he has placed me in a place of pasture.
He has led me to the water of refreshment; he has converted my soul.
He has led me along the paths of justice, for the sake of his name.
For even if I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff: these have comforted me.
You have prepared a table before me against those who trouble me.
You have anointed my head with oil, and my chalice which inebriates me, how excellent it is!
And your mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And so may I dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. Alleluia.
Psalm 122To You I Lift My Eyes
Ant. Christ our Passover has been sacrificed; let us therefore celebrate the feast. Alleluia.
To you I have lifted up my eyes, you who dwell in heaven.
Behold, like the eyes of servants towards the hands of their masters,
like the eyes of a handmaid towards the hands of her mistress,
so are our eyes towards the Lord our God, until he has mercy on us.
Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us; for we are greatly filled with contempt.
For our soul has been greatly filled; a reproach to those who are at ease, and a contempt for the arrogant.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. Christ our Passover has been sacrificed; let us therefore celebrate the feast. Alleluia.

Lord, your resurrection turned grief to joy and despair to hope. Turn our struggles into opportunities for grace and our failures into occasions for your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
