Opening

O God, come to my assistance.

Lord, make haste to help me.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Hymn
Come, Lord, Do Not Delay
Come, Lord, do not delay;
your people wait for you;
illuminate this midday hour
with all that is your truth.
Psalmody
Psalm 119See My Humiliation (Coph)
Ant. The Lord is near; do not be anxious about anything.
Behold my humiliation and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your law.
Judge my judgment and redeem me; enliven me for the sake of your word.
Salvation is far from sinners, because they have not sought your justifications.
Your mercies are many, O Lord; enliven me according to your judgment.
Many are those who persecute me and who afflict me; I have not declined from your testimonies.
I saw the prevaricators and I pined away, because they have not kept your word.
See how I have loved your commandments; O Lord, enliven me in your mercy.
The beginning of your words is truth; all the judgments of your justice are forever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. The Lord is near; do not be anxious about anything.
Psalm 119Princes Have Persecuted Me (Res)
Ant. The Lord is near; do not be anxious about anything.
Leaders have persecuted me without cause; and my heart has been in awe of your words.
I will rejoice over your words, like one who has found great spoils.
I have hated and abhorred iniquity; but I have loved your law.
Seven times a day I have given praise to you, on the judgments of your justice.
Much peace is for those who love your law, and there is no scandal for them.
I waited for your salvation, O Lord, and I loved your commandments.
My soul has kept your testimonies, and I have loved them greatly.
I have kept your commandments and your testimonies, for all my ways are in your sight.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. The Lord is near; do not be anxious about anything.
Short Reading
Isaiah 35:4
Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, do not fear! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; with divine recompense he comes to save you.
Responsory
V. Come, Lord Jesus, and do not delay.
R. Give new courage to your people.
Concluding Prayer
God of the promise, you are always coming to us. Help us to see your coming in the events of this day and to respond with faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dismissal

Let us praise the Lord.
And give him thanks.
