Opening

O God, come to my assistance.

Lord, make haste to help me.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Hymn
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia! Hearts to heaven and voices raise;
sing to God a hymn of gladness, sing to God a hymn of praise.
Psalmody
Psalm 123Our Help Is in the Name of the Lord
Ant. This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. Alleluia.
Unless the Lord had been our helper, perhaps we would have lived in hell.
"My foot has slipped," and your mercy, O Lord, assisted me.
According to the multitude of my griefs in my heart, your consolations have given joy to my soul.
Does the seat of iniquity adhere to you, who frames hardship by means of commandments?
They will capture the soul of the just and will condemn innocent blood.
But the Lord has become my refuge, and my God the help of my hope.
And he will repay their iniquity to them, and in their malice he will destroy them.
The Lord our God will destroy them.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. Alleluia.
Psalm 124Our Escape Was Like a Bird's
Ant. Christ our Passover has been sacrificed; let us therefore celebrate the feast. Alleluia.
Those who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion; he will not be shaken forever who dwells in Jerusalem.
Mountains are around it; and the Lord is around his people, from this time forward, forevermore.
For the Lord will not leave the rod of sinners over the lot of the just, so that the just will not extend their hands to iniquity.
Do good, O Lord, to those who are good and to the upright of heart.
But those who decline into obligations, the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity.
Peace be upon Israel.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
Ant. Christ our Passover has been sacrificed; let us therefore celebrate the feast. Alleluia.
Short Reading
Acts 2:32
God raised this Jesus; of this we are all witnesses. Alleluia.
Responsory
V. This is the day the Lord has made. Alleluia.
R. Let us rejoice and be glad. Alleluia.
Concluding Prayer
Risen Lord, fill this midday hour with Easter joy. Let the resurrection be not only a past event but a present reality in all we do; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dismissal

Let us praise the Lord.
And give him thanks.
